Surfing is very well known in Florida on it’s beaches. Many people that vacation there try to find great spots where they can find the best waves in the best beaches in the area. If you are vacationing in Florida, there are some tips that you need to know, and also you should know how to find the top 3 beaches in the state of Florida where you can ride the best waves. You want to stay near the Atlantic Coast to get big waves but you can also find waves in Central and North Florida. But, you can also surf in South Florida as well.
The first beach that I would recommend is called Sebastian Inlet State Park. This is a great beach to surf on because it has a consistent flow of waves. These waves are great if you want an easy and nice ride. Between the months of February and April, there are a lot of surfing competitions there.
The second beach that would be recommendable for me is called Cocoa Beach. This is wear the famous surf shop, Ron Jon’s, is located. It has a pretty consistent wave flow but not as consistent as the first beach. On summer weekends, it might get a little crowded but other than that, it is pretty quiet. The beach is very nice and even has a surf summer camp if you want to learn more on how to surf.
The last beach is called New Smyrna Beach. Though this beach has broken up surf zones and is well known for swimming and other fun activities, there are some great spots where you can surf and catch the big waves. During the summer is when there are limited surf zones but other times of the year, you can surf wherever you want. But remember, stay farther than 300 feet from the pier.
