To catch the best wave during low tide, a surfer has to try to catch a wave on an angle, and not position themselves toward the shore. Low tide is the best time for a surfer to catch a barrel (tube like wave) that starts closing in the middle, and then closes in a horizontal movement on both sides. In order to ride these waves it’s important to initiate your ride in the middle prior to the break of the wave, then to position yourself between a 45 and 90 degree angle away from the close of the wave.Want more?
